HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

Originally established as a grade school focused on teaching the trades, Glenwood began offering freshmen and sophomore classes in the early 40s. The on-campus program lasted more than 35 years but in the mid-70s students were given the option of enrolling in a local high school. Today the South and Rathje campuses are “home” to about 60 teens. Rathje Campus students attend St. Edward’s or Westminster, both in Elgin; South Campus teens can enroll either at Bloom Township High School or, if they pass a staff review and an entrance test, Marian Catholic High School, both in Chicago Heights. Even after high school graduation, Glenwood does all it can to support students who need and deserve financial aid. If we can find the funds, and the family demonstrates the need, we may pay partial tuition for students who go on to pursue an advanced degree.
