Database & Office Administrator

Glenwood School for Boys & Girls offers a unique, comprehensive and successful residential education and life skills program for disadvantaged children and families. We serve the Chicago-land region from two campuses located in Glenwood and St. Charles.

Glenwood seeks a Database & Office Administrator to design, lead and manage the organization’s database software, structure and utilization while managing office activities for the Development Department. The Database & Office Administrator will be a key member of the Development Department’s who will have the following responsibilities and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
Raisers Edge, version 7 - database design, implementation and management of all systems, procedures and utilization, while maintaining the quality and integrity of information contained in the system.

System input, processes and output of all constituency, financial and gift data.

Routine reconciliation of development and financial systems

Monitor performance and measure the cost/effectiveness of various fund raising avenues for organizational leadership.

Create queries and lists for direct mail, special events and personal solicitations, etc.
Train and support the information needs and database utilization requirements for all department staff.

Qualifications:
    • Candidate must have expertise in Raiser`s Edge,
      version 7, Crystal Reports, Word and Excel.
    • Outstanding organization, project management and
     multi-tasking with a strong attention to detail, accuracy
      and timeliness.
    • Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated, dependable
      and accountable.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written communication and team skills.
    • Solid understanding of nonprofit fund raising and best practices.
    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
    • 4-5 years of related database, nonprofit and project management experience required

SOUTH CAMPUS STAFF POSISTIONS- Glenwood, IL

DIRECTOR OF RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Director of Residential Services
- Reports directly to the President

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred

EXPERIENCE: Must have extensive experience in residential care, five years of supervisory experience, preferably in a residential or educational setting

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Under supervision of the President, the position includes responsibility for:

• Recruitment and supervision of social services staff and child care staff;

• Oversee student recruitment and make recommendations of students for admission;

• Handle all major student discipline and oversee all other discipline of students;

• Communicate and coordinate with other departments on all issues which involve students, child care staff, and social service staff;

• Coordinate staff meetings and residential staff training events;

• Prepare budget recommendations for the Residential Services Department;

• Prepare required routine reports requested by the President;

• Implementation and supervision of daily program services for students, including the military program.
